High Stool Collection
When Mater was founded, one design came to define the brand’s beginning: The High Stool by Space Copenhagen.
Rooted in the essence of Danish design, the stool reflects honest craftsmanship, natural materials, and a timeless expression. Today, this icon enters a new chapter as the High Stool Collection is revisited and reimagined for the future.
Designed by the renowned Danish architecture duo Space Copenhagen, the stools are recognised as New Danish Classics. Their organic, minimalist silhouette offers a versatile expression suited to both residential and commercial interiors. As part of the revitalisation of the collection, the stools continue the original design language with refined comfort and updated materials.
We are introducing four new finishes—Brown Beech, Grey Beech, Matt Oak, and Oiled Oak—alongside seating in Sørensen Leather and
upholstery options by Kvadrat.

Introducing
Sørensen Leather
NUANCE – has a remarkable depth and dimension that exudes authenticity, with the added advantage that it’s designed to be durable. It’s a new type of Protected leather we developed in close collaboration with Space Copenhagen, where the nuances are seen in the natural texture as well as the tones
ULTRA – one of the most versatile Protected leathers around, ULTRA is the perfect everyday type of leather. Buffed and embossed and truly nice to touch, the surface features a uniform grain pattern over the entire hide which
gives it a consistent look.
